This is going to be a photo-heavy post– get excited!
First, the reason I do this blog: my most recent fabulously fluffy creation!
This lion was super fun to put together, all the way from the pattern up to cutting the mane. I’m hoping it’s a popular one, because I know lots of little boys have jungle-themed rooms (plus I’m pretty crazy about how cute it turned out).
Now on to a little holiday festivity! I love Christmas so much– there’s just something about it that keeps me in a good mood from Thanksgiving all the way through the new year. My boyfriend and I got our tree today, and I’m just so excited there are no words. It’s a lot bigger in our apartment than it looked before we brought it in, but I still love it! Here’s how it looks now– I’ll post another picture after we decorate tomorrow!
And now, the third and final part of this extra-long post (I hope you’ve stuck around to read this!). I’ve wanted to try this out for a long time, and I think it turned out pretty well so I’m sharing! It’s a great way to put inexpensive but super cool art on your walls. First, what it looks like:
These frames are hanging on the wall in our apartment right above our couch. Here’s the trick– the entire project cost me right around $15. I got the frames, which are simple black metal front-loading frames, from Target. The contents of the frames are–wait for it– gift bags! I cut them down to fit the frames and added red raffia ribbon to pop the red in the print of the bags. Fast and cute– and easy to swap out depending on the season (or your mood!).
I’ll probably be blogging a lot in the next few weeks leading up to Christmas, because I will be a busy bee! Stop back often and keep up if you can!
Cheers (and happy holidays!),
